Extensions & Renovations
Single and two-storey extensions, garage conversions and full-house refurbishments — from footings to final decoration.
DetailsFloor and wall tiling, engineered wood, laminate, LVT and screeding — including underfloor heating.
Flooring shows every shortcut taken underneath it. Get the subfloor flat, dry and stable and the finish will still be sound in fifteen years; skip it and you'll hear about it every time someone walks across the room.
Every floor we lay starts with a check for level, movement and moisture. Timber floors are screwed down and, where needed, over-boarded; concrete is primed and levelled with a self-levelling compound; damp readings are taken before anything moisture-sensitive goes down. Only then does the finish go on.
Setting out is what separates a good tiling job from an awkward one: full tiles where the eye lands, cuts pushed to the least visible edge, grout lines that carry through from floor to wall. Large-format porcelain, natural stone, mosaic and traditional patterns are all fine — the setting out is the same discipline either way.
Yes — porcelain and stone are the best possible finish over underfloor heating. We use flexible adhesive and grout, and commission the system through a proper heat-up cycle before the room is used.
Yes, lifting and disposing of the old covering is included in the quotation unless you tell us you'd rather do it yourself. Old adhesives are removed rather than levelled over.
